Cox Media Group Names Kristin Okesson As Vice President and General Manager for Cox Radio Stamford/Norwalk

MILFORD, CONN.

NOVEMBER 10, 2009 – Cox Media Group, Inc. announced today the appointment of Kristin Okesson as vice president and general manager for Cox Radio Stamford/Norwalk, effective immediately. Okesson reports to Robin Faller, vice president and market manager for Cox Radio – Southern Connecticut.

In her new role, Okesson is responsible for all operations at Cox’s WFOX-FM, WCTZ-FM, WSTC-AM and WNLK-AM radio stations.

“Kristin brings nearly two decades of radio experience, passion and excitement to this role,” said Faller. “She knows the business inside and out and is a longtime Connecticut resident. She values stellar customer service and continuous community support, making her an excellent addition to Cox Media Group.”

Most recently, Okesson served as market manager for Cumulus Media in Westchester N.Y. and Danbury Conn., where she oversaw seven radio stations and more than 50 employees. She has held a number of positions within the radio industry, including general sales manager and account executive. Okesson has been recognized by Radio Ink as an industry leader in sales management.

Okesson is currently a board member for Girls Inc. of Southwestern Conn. and actively participates in the Stamford Chamber of Commerce. She graduated from Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, Conn.) with a bachelor’s degree in science and a marketing concentration.
